The Larrikin Long Lunch was a success with seven Larrikins, Stretch, Mongrel, Afterbirth, Laundromat (newly retired), Bristle, Frankly and Fetchit along with Ace, Shortsheater, 9W and Rowan a friend had a fantastic afternoon of food booze and fun at the Sydney Rowing Club’s Watergrill resturant.
The adventure began with Laundromat and Afterbirth misjudging the efficiency ot Sydney’s public Trasnsport and arriving at Circular Quay with more than 40 miunutes to spare!
Fetchit and Frankly arrived in time to catch the 11:27 ferry and Frankly keen to get to the venue boarded that vessle and had to hastily disembark when told of the arrangenents!
The four ferry travellers enjoyed a pleasant cruise to Abbsortsford Point, Laundromat electing to remain on the foredeck spotting whales for the skupper – unfortunately none were sighted!
Arriving at Abbsortsford point on time it was On Inn to the Watergrill, finding Ace, 9W and Shortsheater who had car-pooled seated at one of the two tables booked. It seems that because of the two distinct bookings the tables were in seperate areas of the resturant, however with a slight of hand ot a miracle suddenly the tables were side by side!
The afternoon was great, the company fantastic and a good time was had by all who attended!
